KNITTED SOLIDARITY ACROSS BORDERS

This wonderful initiative promotes the use of alpaca wool, which comes from free-range animals that live at an altitude of around 4000 meters in the province of Huancavelica. The alpacas are kept by regional farmers and all the processing – from shearing, washing and carding to hand spinning – is carried out by these family businesses.

We are a small group of people who have come together to enable the participating families to make a living from their direct marketing. The project is sustainable and fair throughout, which is very important to everyone involved in the initiative.

With every purchase you not only support the local economy, but also contribute to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and the promotion of social justice.
